March

We are still working hard on our current topic 'Saving the Rainforest.’ As part of this topic, the children will be given the opportunity to prepare for and perform a Rainforest Assembly play to the rest of the school at the start of next term.

Not too long ago (04.03.19) we celebrated World Book Day and everyone had a wonderful time in 4C. The children came to school dressed as a book character of their choice, we swapped books and had a fantastic ‘Book Breakfast’. It was heartening to have so many parents and younger siblings join us for breakfast in our classroom, it really shows the children how much adults value reading. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported this event.

Since the days are getting lighter our current outdoor PE focus is tag rugby, the children are quickly picking up the rules and already we are improving our skills at tagging our opponents and protecting our own tags.

This is our last games focus for this academic year as after the Easter holidays we will spend the Summer term developing our athletic skills.

I hope to see you all at Parents Evening at the beginning of next month, we will have the opportunity to discuss your child's school report (reports go out on Friday 29th March and Parents Evening is the following week).
