Friday 22nd May
Good morning Year 3!
Well, this is our last day of this half-term. What a half-term it has been. We have been so happy to see your work on Google Classroom and be able to communicate with you. Thank you for all your hard work. We'd also like to thank all your parents and carers who have helped you and posted photographs of what you've been up to.
We will not be setting any Maths of English work over the holiday. Instead, we are setting you an artistic challenge. Go to our Art folder and look for 'The View From My Window'. The activity will also be set on Google Classroom. You can send us your results on Google Classroom or to our Year 3 email address. Have fun!
We hope you have a safe and enjoyable half-term and we will see you back here on 1st June!
There are two classrooms you should join. There is the Whitings Hill Classroom and the Year 3 Classroom.
Maths and English are now being set on there, as well as on here. Your parents have been sent a message with all the details of how to log in but if you are finding it tricky, please email the parent email address and you will get some help. If you are already part of the Whitings Hill Classroom, you can add the Year 3 classroom by clicking on the plus at the top of the screen and selecting 'join class' you then need to type in the code: isomej2.
When you complete the learning on Google Classroom, we will look at the work you submit and will also send you comments/feedback.
SUMMER TERM- WEEK 5 - 18.05.20
Welcome to week 5! We hope you had a good week last week.
Have you seen the video of the teachers most recent challenge? It was great fun recreating a famous piece of art! Have you had a go at doing it yet?
Remember that work is being put on Google Classroom as well as on here. All work for the week is now being put up on Monday so that you can complete it at your own pace.
Keep sending in your photos of what you've been up to. We love seeing you all!

In the writing folder there is a new picture 'The Watchers.' Have a look and see how creative you can be! There are 5 activities you can do.
Our new reading comprehension is all about 'Meerkats.'
One of my favourite animals.
This week, week 5, we are going to be learning about fractions. There are 4 lessons on Google Classroom. There is no deadline for when to complete each lesson. If you can finish it by the end of the week that's great but if you need more time that's also okay. We will be checking your work and making comments but the answers will also be available later on that day so that you can see how you've done. The links to the videos and the worksheets are also on our web page.
If you want more practise of fractions, the Oak National Academy - Year 3 - Maths - Week 2 lessons are all about unit and non-unit fractions. See the link below.
* Education City
Education City has been updated with new activities to support your learning in English, Maths and Science. Remember you all have your log on in your yellow reading record.
