18th May 2020

Hello everyone, we hope you are all safe and well.

Well done to all of you that have been keeping the children very busy again this week. We have enjoyed looking at the lovely photos and videos on Tapestry. This week we have seen lots of Super Worms, lots of lovely measuring and comparing!

The teachers have recently completed an Art Challenge! It is on the website in the Additional Latest News section, do take a look, can you spot us!

Maybe, the children would like to have a go! It is a very good challenge because it encourages them to look at works of art, ask questions and find out about the artists.

We have some birthdays this week! Take a look in the box to the right.

Your class reps Laura and Shekel have been doing a really great job at keeping everyone in touch all through this difficult time. The staff would like to thank them for all their great efforts, I know lots of parents appreciate what they are doing. So thank you girls! If you are not in the nursery Wots App group but you would like to keep in touch with everyone you can send me an email at parent@whitingshill.barnet.sch.uk  Put, ‘Virginia wots app group’ in the subject box. I will need you name, your child’s name and your phone number to pass on to your reps.

Hello everyone, we hope you are all safe and well, we are all fine. Enjoying all the photos and videos of the children we see on Tapestry so keep them coming!

Thank you so much to Laura and Shekel for organising that great Nursery Toilet Roll Challenge video, and well done to all of you that took part. It was really great to see the children we all really enjoyed watching it. If you haven’t seen the film it is now on everyone’s Tapestry and also on the Nursery Homework page of the school website. (Watch out for the next school staff challenge!)

This week we have seen lots of tigers in your houses, lots of the children are developing some good cutting skills which is great to see as its one of the harder things to master! We have had some great story tellers retelling the story of The Tiger Who Came To Tea and some busy scientists have been experimenting!

We will continue to put weekly challenges for you to pick and choose from on Tapestry and on the website. Don’t forget to check out Nursery City on Education City.

Lastly don’t forget to upload photos and videos of all the great things you are doing at home onto Tapestry so we can see them and keep in touch with you all.

1st May 2020

Hello everyone, we hope you are all safe and well and not missing nursery too much! Time is ticking on as we enter another week of lock down. We had two birthdays this week Inaya and Adam are now four years old now! Happy Birthday to them both, next week’s birthdays are in the box to the right.

We wish all the families that are now celebrating Ramadan well, and although it probably won’t be the same this year, I’m sure you will find lots of new ways to make those precious connections with family.

We really love seeing some of the lovely things you have been doing on Tapestry and don’t forget to look on the website to see for yourselves what some of the children have been up to.

We will continue to put weekly challenges for you to pick and choose from on Tapestry and on the website. Don’t forget to check out Nursery City, this week there are some new sounds on the phonic set and some new science and technology games to try out.

Lastly don’t forget to upload photos and videos of all the great things you are doing at home onto Tapestry so we can see them and share some with all your nursery friends!

As you will be able to download your child’s Tapestry journal at the end of their time in nursery it is a great way to keep a record of this time and look back on it in future.

Reception School Places 2020

You should have received your child’s school place for September. Please remember to log onto admissions and check if you need to accept your place formally. I think this is required to secure the place
