As our topic is the Great fire of London, we explored different instruments to make 'fire' music.
We listened to the noise of a fire and described what we heard for example, crackling and wood breaking. We then described what we saw e.g. big red flames. We then discussed the movements of the fire. "It's quite big and the fire is moving very fast!" We then thought about how the fires may have been in the Great Fire of London. so how they may have started (slow, small and quiet) and then progressed (grew bigger and faster). We looked at the instruments and thought about what kind of music we wanted to play - slow, fast, quiet, loud. We decided what instruments worked best for each part of our musical piece.
