This week we’ve been busy turning our classroom into a winter wonderland! The children have really enjoyed making paper chains and snowy decorations during their free time! In English this week we’ve been reading the book ‘Don’t’ let the pigeon stay up late!’ This book is all about following instructions. The children have been busy writing their own instruction poems ‘ladybird, ladybird…’ and have been using bossy verbs! The children have also been writing in CAPITAL LETTERS! Great work! In Maths we’ve been practicing addition and subtraction, making sure we draw our counters to help us. In topic this week we’ve made fire music! The children were practicing making their music louder, quieter, slower and faster. We’ve also been looking at Tudor houses and the children designed their own Tudor houses, remembering to add small windows, wooden beams and a ‘jetty’. We also recorded our Christmas performance, we can’t wait for you to see it!
