23rd April

What a fantastic start to the half term! The sum has been shining and the children have been working so hard! In English we’ve focused on different types of words to use in a sentences, including; nouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs and similes. We had great fun going on a noun hunt and playing adverbs charades. In Maths we’ve been making equal groups, sharing equally and looking at arrays – focusing on ‘rows’ and ‘columns’. We’ve started our new topic and have been looking at materials and sorting objects. We’ve loved seeing all the robots the children have made! We’ve learnt all about St. George’s day, creating our own coat of arms and dragon face masks – this was fun! The children have been very interested in making chatterboxes, so we had a class session learning how to make them from a square piece of paper. It has been a very busy and fun first week back!
