18th June

As always, we have had a very busy week in 1B! Although we have been hot and bothered from the heat, the children have worked extremely hard all week! In Maths we have been looking at money - coins and notes. We have focused on the value of coins and adding amounts together. In English we have been making non-fiction books all about tigers. I was so impressed with the knowledge the children had about tigers and how well they presented the work when creating their own books. We have continued to practice our phonics and daily reading - this week we have read all about Euro 2020  and the layers of the ocean. These helped us focus on non-fiction texts which was very helpful for our English work! We have continued to look at plants for our Topic work. We went to the wooded area to explore and see what different kinds of plants we could find - the children had so much fun! We have also been busy making fathers day cards and decorating bags ready for our gifts as well as celebrating Euro 2020 by wearing our football shirts to support England! Great week in 1B
