World Book Day

We celebrated world book day on Tuesday 27th February. This is a special day to celebrate books, authors and illustrators by dressing up in a costume. The children loved showing their costumes to one another and guessing who everyone was. We had a lot of princesses, superheroes, some pirates, Mr. Bump, Where’s Wally and so on. Some of us brought in our favourite books and we shared them with the class. We received world book day stickers and special book vouchers, which we can use to buy a new book.

We also had a mad hatters tea party in the afternoon. As part of World Book Day , the Whitings Hill staff dressed up as characters from Alice in Wonderland. Because of this, all classes organised a Mad Hatters Tea Party. We had food, drinks and a little dance in the end.

Please check out a video made by one of the children in celebration of world book day https://youtu.be/EnIbFKp-pok. Why don't you have a go at home- it is an animation app called Keynote.
