Whitings Hill Open Space - Part 2
To start off our trip, we listened to the story 'Room on the Broom'. At the end of the story, the witches broom broke so she made up a spell in her cauldron with her animal friends. This spell made a brand spanking new broom! We thought of words to describe the new broom- cool, fantastic, amazing and flying are just a few words we came up with. After the story, we found out that the witch had a 'broom making' party to celebrate her new broom. The witch invited lots of her friends over to make new brooms too. We wanted to have a go at making our own broomsticks too. First we found a long stick that we could use as the main part of the broomstick. Then we found little twigs, long dried grass and other natural materials that we could use as the brush part of the broom. Once our broomsticks were made, we had fun flying around pretending to be wizards and witches.
