Time is flying as we head into November. We have successfully completed our first half term of learning in year 4. The children are rising to all the challenges put before them and are keen to share their existing knowledge and skills while at the same time developing new ones.
While our main focus this term is on learning about the Romans and the influence they have had on Britain, we will also be preparing for our Christmas performance. November is a very busy month for 4C. Preparations are underway for our Christmas concert and I am sure you will be hearing your child singing Christmas songs to his- or herself over the coming weeks!
In Mathematics our focus is on addition and subtractions of three-digit numbers while also beginning to deepen our understanding about fractions. In English, we are continuing to explore how to write successful stories; applying our new knowledge of complex and compound sentences.
