It was a little bit creepy around the school on Friday evening with all sorts of outlandish characters wandering around at the Halloween Disco. At least it was scary until you saw the children's happy, smiling faces as they had the time of their lives dancing and chatting to their friends.
Well done to the Friends of Whitings Hill who put on another fantastic event for the children to enjoy. They put in such a lot of work behind the scenes, spending hours setting up stalls and decorating the hall and then, when everyone has gone home, they spend another couple of hours tidying, vacuuming and scrubbing to put everything back to normal. What a team and so important to our school.
A special thanks also to our excellent DJ, Tish Cummings. Her energy and enthusiasm kept the kids dancing all night, the Hokey Cokey was a particular triumph.
