Remembrance at Whitings Hill.

We held a poignant and solemn Remembrance Assembly at Whitings Hill on Friday 10th November. The children first of all filed into the hall in absolute silence followed by the laying of the poppy wreaths they had made during a School Couincil session. Ignatious in 6B then read the poem "Never Again" and Dylan from 6A played "The Last Post" impeccably on the organ. This was followed by a minutes silence and finally the school prayer before the children left the hall one class at a time.

There was an air of respect and sincerity throughout the assembly and the children clearly understood the significance of the event - the silence was perfect throughout.
