Despite it being a short week it was a very busy one! We managed to catch up on the Easter egg card making and we all enjoyed our Sports relief activity challenge.
The dance festival is next week, so if you haven’t decided on the costume, you have this week end to get it finalised. Costume ideas are displayed on our outside notice board next to the gate.
This week we have reading the story of ‘The Three Billy Goats Gruff’ the children have enjoyed this story and we had lots of very enthusiastic actors retelling the story really well. Some children made little books and we had lots of lovely Troll and goat puppets. We have also been learning about more and less. In lots of different practical activities, putting one more and taking one away to make one less.
We made lemonade and each time we squeezed a lemon we had one less. The lemonade was very popular and lots of children said they would like to make it at home. If you ask them how they made it they may be able to tell you !
This week we have been finding out about our senses. We have been using different senses to investigate things. We used our eyes to look for things, we smelt things inside pots to see if we recognised them, we described things by feeling them with our hands. We tasted different things to see if we liked the taste, and we listened to sounds and guessed what they were. We also managed to make lovely cards for our Mums and decorated bags with beautiful pictures of our Mums! All ready for Mother’s Day.
