December

December 2018

For me there is no better place to be than in a primary school in the run up to Christmas and 4C are full of anticipation and excitement about all that school has to offer them over the coming month.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all those parents, carers and adults who came along to our reading session throughout this half-term. It was lovely to have you joining in as well it being the perfect way to demonstrate to both your own child and their classmates how much you value what happens in school.

However, during our fun times, we have been working hard on our termly assessments. All the children in 4c were assessed on their reading, spelling, grammar, writing and maths skills. These assessments were rigorous and certainly tested the children, but I am very pleased to say that each child in our class did their best and gave 100% effort. The results reflect this and all the children should be very proud of themselves. I will use the results to plan for our work next term.

Our Christmas production is shaping up nicely and I hope you will enjoy as much as I will.

There are a many diary dates for December so here are the main ones: Christmas jumper day on Wednesday 19th, Christmas dinner on Thursday 20th, party day on Thursday 20th and the last day of term on Friday 21st December.

Once again I would like to thank everyone associated with 4C for the support you have given us this term and I wish you all a happy and safe Christmas and New Year.
