Children in Need is a charity which raises money to help make a difference to children who need our help the most. It helps us to think about things that we may take for granted that other children may never have. It helps us to realise that some people are less fortunate than others. It reminds us to reflect on the daily struggles that some children have. BBC Children in Need makes us aware of the lives of other children in the UK.
Every day people everywhere are doing fantastic things to transform the lives of others and make our world a better place. To do this we can take part fundraising events, like cake sales, or volunteering. At Whitings Hill, we wore our pyjamas and donated £1. As a class, we talked about what this special event means and why we raise money for it. We watched some videos and were introduced to Pudsey the bear.
We had so much fun being in our pyjamas today. Everyone looked so warm and cosy in there fleecy pj's, onesies, dressing gowns and slippers. Well done to everyone for taking part.
