28th April 2017
This week we introduced the story, ’ Oh no George´! by Chris Haughton. We drew pictures of our pets, did some writing about them and shared photos of our pets during circle time.
After reading some of the story, we wrote letters to one of the characters in the book.
Next week, we will continue looking at the text, ‘Oh no George’. We will finish reading the story, discussing the feelings and thoughts of the characters and recreate some illustrations by Chris Haughton.
Welcome back ! We hope you enjoyed your Easter break . Our theme this week has been the season ‘Spring’. The children painted spring scenes, went on a ‘senses’ walk around the playground, read books related to spring and drew spring pictures whilst listening to the sounds of spring.
Next week our text of the week will be ’Oh no George!’ by Chris Haughton. The story includes animal characters and therefore we would like to talk about the topic of Pets. Please could you bring in any photos of your pets on Monday 24th April for children to use in a special Pets class circle time. Activities next week will include writing letters to the characters, talking about feelings, predicting story plot and investigating facts about dogs from non- fiction texts.
