Welcome to 6B
Welcome to 6B's web page. Here you will find out what we have been learning recently and view some of our finished work. As we approach our final half-term in Year 6, we are continuing to work hard.
Condover Hall, our residential trip, was amazing! The children all enjoyed themselves and tackled team building and personal challenges throughout the week. For photos, see 6E's page.
In English, we will be writing information texts about Condover Hall, including a personal recount, once our current suspense stories are complete. In Maths, we will focus on exploring and investigating number systems and investigating, creating and solving a range of number puzzles and problems.
Our topic work this term will include a study of a non-European society. The children will get the opportunity to find out about the characteristic features of the Mayans. We will study the hierarchical system in Maya society and investigate what daily life was like, including finding out about the deadly Maya ball game.
Our final topic is called 'Fit for Life' wherein we will explore a range of ways in which we can improve our physical fitness, learn more about our bodies and how we can keep them in good condition.
