The new School Library was opened on Friday 5th May by a very special celebrity. The children in 6B were delighted to meet him in person when he came around to visit later that morning.
A Shakespeare Experience
We were lucky to have a visit from Andy from the Young Shakespeare Company who introduced us to Shakespeare's Hamlet in such a fun way. We acted, performed and immersed ourselves in the tragic play as you can see in the photos. We're looking forward to seeing it at the theatre in a few weeks time!
To end Adventure Week, 6B went on a trip to Trent Park to explore and build dens. Working in small teams, we certainly had a good time and with a lot of creativity and innovation, we built impressive shelters. Check out the photos.
Climb Every Mountain!
We are well into this half term's topic and have really enjoyed learning about how mountains are formed. We made large models of mountains from cardboard and paper mache which are now on display in the school and have now moved onto learning about volcanoes.
Science Crazy ! This is how we would describe ourselves now that we have discovered the explosive effect of Mentos on diet Coke! Check out the photos of our mountain and science work below and see what you think.
We learned about the importance of teamwork in this stacking cup challenge and how listening to each other can result in great success! The winning team showed great perseverance and patience.
